Indications and Usage

Avonza Tablet is indicated for:

• HIV-1 infection in adults and adolescents

• First-line ART regimen

• Long-term viral suppression and immune improvement

It does not cure HIV but helps manage it effectively.

How it Works

• Tenofovir + Lamivudine: Block reverse transcriptase, preventing HIV from multiplying.

• Efavirenz: Reduces viral replication and boosts effectiveness of the combination.

Together, they suppress HIV growth and allow the immune system to recover.

Dosage & Administration

• Usual dose: One tablet once daily, preferably at bedtime

• Take on an empty stomach to reduce side effects

• Swallow whole with water

• Do not skip doses — adherence is critical

• Regular viral load and CD4 monitoring required
