Description

Abirakast 250 mg Tablet contains Abiraterone Acetate, an oral anticancer medicine used in advanced prostate cancer. It helps slow cancer growth and improve survival when taken with prednisone under specialist supervision.

Benefits

  • Slows prostate cancer progression

  • Lowers PSA levels and tumor activity

  • Improves survival outcomes in appropriate patients

  • Convenient once-daily oral treatment

  • Standard therapy in advanced prostate cancer management

Indications and Usage

Abirakast 250 mg Tablet is indicated for:

  • Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC)

  • Metastatic High-Risk Castration-Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mCSPC)

Therapy must be initiated and supervised by an oncologist or urologist.

How it Works

Abiraterone inhibits the CYP17 enzyme, which plays a key role in testosterone production. By reducing androgen levels in the testes, adrenal glands, and tumor cells, it deprives cancer cells of the hormones they need to grow and spread.

  • Take on an empty stomach—1 hour before or 2 hours after meals

  • Do not change dose or stop treatment without medical advice

  • Requires routine liver tests, potassium checks, and blood pressure monitoring
