Description

Abec-L Tablet contains Abacavir and Lamivudine, two antiretroviral medicines used for managing HIV-1 infection. It helps lower viral load, strengthen immunity, and support long-term HIV control.

How it Works

Abacavir and Lamivudine block the reverse transcriptase enzyme, which HIV needs to replicate. By preventing viral multiplication, the medicine lowers viral load and allows the immune system to strengthen.

Dosage & Administration

• Typically one tablet once daily, or as directed by the doctor

• Can be taken with or without food

• Do not miss doses—adherence is essential to prevent resistance

• HLA-B*5701 test is recommended before starting Abacavir

• Regular viral load and CD4 count monitoring is required
