Indications and Usage

How it Works
Decitabine inhibits DNA methyltransferase, leading to DNA hypomethylation. This action restores normal control of cell growth and differentiation in abnormal bone marrow cells. In rapidly dividing cancer cells, it also causes cell death, while non-dividing cells are less affected
Dosage & Administration
Decima 50 mg Injection is administered intravenously by trained healthcare professionals only.
Two recommended regimens:
Regimen 1

15 mg/m² IV infusion over 3 hours

Every 8 hours for 3 days

Repeated every 6 weeks
Regimen 2

20 mg/m² IV infusion over 1 hour

Once daily for 5 days

Repeated every 4 weeks

Patients should receive at least 4 cycles

Dose adjustments may be required based on blood count recovery

Regular monitoring of CBC, platelets, liver and kidney function is mandatory
