Indications and Usage

Osimert 80 mg Tablet (Osimertinib 80mg) is indicated for:

• Treatment of EGFR mutation-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)

• First-line treatment of advanced or metastatic EGFR-mutated NSCLC

• Patients with tumors that have specific EGFR mutations such as exon 19 deletions or exon 21 L858R substitution

• Certain patients with T790M resistance mutation (as guided by clinical evaluation)

How it Works

Osimertinib 80mg works by blocking the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), a protein found on the surface of some cancer cells.

In EGFR-mutated lung cancer, abnormal activation of this receptor causes uncontrolled cell growth. Osimert 80 mg Tablet binds to and inhibits the mutated EGFR protein, preventing it from sending growth signals to cancer cells.
