Description

Combinib 250 mg Tablet contains Lapatinib, a targeted anticancer agent used in the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. It is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that blocks specific proteins responsible for cancer cell growth and spread. Combinib is typically used in combination with other anticancer drugs in patients who have advanced or metastatic breast cancer.

Indications and Usage

Combinib (Lapatinib) is indicated for the treatment of:

• Advanced or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer

  • In combination with capecitabine in patients previously treated with anthracyclines, taxanes, and trastuzumab

  • In combination with letrozole for postmenopausal women with hormone receptor–positive, HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer

How it Works

Lapatinib blocks the HER2/neu and EGFR (ErbB1) tyrosine kinases — proteins that promote growth and survival of cancer cells. By inhibiting these signaling pathways, Combinib slows or stops tumor cell growth, especially in HER2-positive breast cancer.

Dosage & Administration

• Dosage is determined by your oncologist based on your condition and combination therapy

• Typically taken once daily on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 1 hour after meals)

• Must be swallowed whole with water — do not crush or chew

• Do not skip or stop treatment unless advised by your doctor

• Regular monitoring of liver function and cardiac status may be required

Side Effects

Common side effects:

Serious side effects (seek medical attention):
