Obnyx Capsule contains enzalutamide, an androgen receptor inhibitor. Prostate cancer cells depend on male hormones (androgens), especially testosterone, to grow and survive. Obnyx works by: Blocking androgen receptors on cancer cells, preventing testosterone from attaching and activating them. Inhibiting cancer cell growth and survival by cutting off the hormone signals that fuel their activity. This targeted action slows the progression of prostate cancer and may reduce symptoms in advanced cases.
Usual Adult Dose: One 40 mg capsule taken once daily, or as prescribed by your doctor. Some treatment regimens may involve higher total daily doses (e.g., 160 mg/day), taken as multiple capsules.
Route: Oral (by mouth).
With or Without Food: Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.
Swallow Whole: Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule. Swallow it whole with water.
Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember the same day. If it’s the next day, skip the missed dose — do not take a double dose.
